Jason Zepher in "The AEC Marketing Progressive" makes some interesting (and important) comments in his posting about the values and potential of "Generation Y".
Of course, I wouldn't discount the importance of the older generation, either. In Canada, at least, compulsory retirement is no more -- people can continue working as long as they wish and are able.
I think that businesses which can connect the wisdom of older people (post 'retirement age') with the spirit and energy of younger individuals will truly thrive in this baby-boom-crunch era. But I'm not sure if the older people should be brought in as employees -- if they are any good, their independence and spirit (coupled with accumulated knowledge) suggests a freelance consulting rather than employee-employer relationship is best.
